COMPUTER PERIPHERALS
Protected pointing devices
are devices for entering information with a high degree of protection from external influences (dust, moisture, shock, vibration, ambient temperatures). Basically, the need for such devices arises where the protection of all equipment plays a primary role (in production, on the street, in the chemical and food industries, in medicine, as well as in many other things)
The trackball pointing device
is used for comfortable software management in a graphical environment. Taking into account the features of a number of industrial enterprises, these devices have a high failure time, and also have reliable protection from dust and moisture. The protection level of a number of models corresponds to IP68. Compliance with this standard means that the device is completely waterproof. This is achieved by using a special double seal.
The body of industrial trackballs is made of durable materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, FR4 fiberglass. This allows you to reliably protect the device from mechanical damage. For cleaning from dirt, the manipulator ball has a removable design.
For ease of operation, a trackball sensitivity adjustment function is provided, and a number of models also have several options for highlighting the ball. The resource of industrial trackballs can exceed 3 million full revolutions. The precise operation of the controls is ensured by the use of dome buttons with gold-plated contacts. According to the type of installation, trackballs are divided into built-in, desktop and rack.
Metal vandal-resistant keyboards
are used in applications where protection from vandalism and an increased level of strength are required. This is especially true in places where information terminals and kiosks are freely accessible to the public. Since these terminals are usually unattended and available to customers 24 hours a day, these so-called self-service terminals are highly susceptible to mechanical impacts associated with vandalism.
Glass touch keyboard
This is the newest section, which presents protected keyboards of a fundamentally new direction. The surface is made of durable tempered glass, some models use Gorilla glass. The operation of these keyboards is based on the principle of a capacitive touchscreen: information is entered by recognizing the coordinates of the place where the fingers touch the glass surface, i.e. there are no moving parts (mechanical keys), which means that the resource of products is disproportionately higher – there is simply nothing to wear out.
